In our 2024 Annual Report (Read now) we shared that 40x Community Based Organisations (CBOs) were recognised through graduation ceremonies for their commitment to developing into independent organisations.
It only feels right that we honour all of them, as well as, the project teams who have nurtured and supported them over many years.
The list below is each CBO that graduated this past financial year. It is a list that represents years of functional education programs being run, many women becoming literate and numerate for the first time or developing skills beyond what little school opportunity they had. It is women who came together on a regular basis, saved and borrowed together to build businesses, funded their children’s education or simply increased their income to feed their family.
This list also represents what is to come, as each CBO will decide their way forward and how they will influence their community beyond how they started with us.
Most importantly, it shows transformation and lives free from the exploitation and dependency that poverty creates.
So here they are!
